    I’ve heard of a chap on a trout fishery that uses an old goose gun to shoot cormorants, it’s a 4 bore that throws 4 ounce of bbs it’s well up to the job I believe.

    If bait boats are allowed on a new water I use my boat to tow my deeper sonar around to map the depths and contours, the fish finder side of it I tend to ignore, as it picks lots of echoes in summer...

    Used to use fullers earth mixed with washing up liquid to degrease fly fishing leaders, one of dick walkers ideas I think, think it was marketed as perma sink.
