As an aside we had a week's holiday in Warwick last year (strictly no fishing tackle!). However I could not resist a visit to Baileys and I must say I was impressed with a good , old-fashioned and...

Thank you all for taking the time to express your opinions. Maybe since the early days of cormorant predation on the Ribble anglers like me are looking for an apocalyse to explain why we are not...

Barbel fishing on the River Ribble - discuss
It is now 18 months since I last caught a Ribble barbel. The foremost reason for this is that I don't fish that often these days and probably the second is that most of my trips are early morning to...

Interesting - a few years ago I always used Drennan feeders in particular the oval blockends for sessions on the Ribble. Suddenly I started getting all the problems highlighted above and judging by...

A few years back at one of these Fishing Shows I talked myself into buying a MAP 17ft float rod - it was just too good a bargain to miss wasn't it? First trip out on the Ribble trotting for dace and...

Yes, I'd say that was the prevailing attitude to carp back then but as I type this probably hundreds of carp are being caught at commercial, and other, fisheries up and down the UK! Dick Walker was...
