  1. Re: That's it. The summer's over. Anyone fishing this weekend?

I only started fishing not long ago so not had a super cold session yet.

I'll be out this weekend, not sure where yet though. May try some spinning on the canal

    Cheers mate.

I'm gonna go and have a walk round tomorrow after a session on the trent to see what it's like.

Do you know if its day ticket or a membership?

    River Erewash

Anyone know if the river Erewash is worth a visit?

    Preferably in the Nottingham area.

Looking for a smaller river and wondering what's in there?

    Cheers
  8. Re: Newbie from Notts hoping to start fishing the Trent.

You could try Beeston mate, its day ticket as well as being on Notts AA book so you can try it out before you join.

I haven't been there yet but planning to on either Friday or Monday

Re: Watch out for Grass Snakes

Sat there last weekend when caught something moving out the corner of my eye. Turned out to be a snake swimming towards the island in the middle of the lake.

Totally unexpected but great to see.

Re: How did everyone get on then?

Went up to Woodned in Huthwaite yesterday. Brilliant session

Load of carp and roach and finally put my pole to the test.

Didn't think it would happen but I'm starting to love pole fishing
