I have and use both the 1000 and 2000. The 1000 is not as fast and tippy as the 2000 but is still a great rod and more suited for waggler.

Sounds like it could be ideal, I needed a float rod with a bit more power. Could also be good for tench as well... In the meantime I'll give it a go for some chub:)
