Re: I'm painting some quiver tips?

If it is useful... I have painted the tips of different feeder rods with this: KOBRA HP neon paint yellow.
Kobra HP Spray Paint - Fluorescent Colours
Spraying thin layers worked way better compared...

    Re: How was your Season?

That's right, it is time to have a thought on our season.

The season for me has been heavily impacted by different factors, all new and utterly unexpected:
    1/ health
    2/ brexit (my micro business...

    Well welcome anyway!
Where are your new aquariums located? I want to go fishing and you know this is close season now!

Re: How did you get on?

    Noone out today??

Well I was, for a very short while. One of the closest streams was my choice, just because it's close... but also because I was repeatedly successful in the same places over the...

    Cinnamon

Earlier today I could again see how cinnamon can boost a groundbait (in this case, liquidised bread, when fishing for roach). Last summer, I had read a page somewhere on bream fishing that listed it...

Re: How did you get on?

Hello! Finally I went out this morning, at least a day that appeared to be good enough to be outside. That is, not too windy, not too cold, and a sun that is able to warm up the heart (not the...
  9. Re: if you could fish ANYWHERE in the world for 2 weeks???

For a 2 weeks in a row, I'd choose FREEDOM.
I would either go down in Belgium and fish for trout or barbel on free waters.
Or, I would buy a simple national permit that covers 90% of French waters,...

    Re: Does flooding change rivers?

Last year in south france, a trout river was left entirely empty.

We got 2 extreme flooding episodes in the thames valley, in January 2013 and in Januray 2014. From the following spring fishing...

Re: How did you get on?

Simple report from me. Yesterday I was up on the canal (which anyway would be the only place at the moment).
So windy! Even a 30 gr feeder and a strong tip didn't let me fish correctly.
    The stretch...

Re: Spinning on a standard rod?

With your rod which is not a spinning one, use a lure that doesn't require a specialised rod. You won't be too exotic because there are as many spinning rods as there are lure families. A perfect...

For my birthday 5 or 6 years ago my dear wife who loves me so much gave me a Go Pro. That's for fishing not cycling. It's a hero 2. Along with it I added a waterproof box and a detachable screen....

    Re: New Quay Wales

When I visited Newquay in 2015 I was at a place called the breakwater. Apparently a good place for bass fishing. But is it the right time for...

Re: How did you get on?

Down around Oxford it is equally awful, today nearly as in November. My spouse is a rower, me an angler, so we both look at the river levels frequently

    Re: Waterway wanderers permit

Well if I search a stretch available on the Waterways Wanderers permit, 50 miles from oxford, I get nothing. The GU, the Oxford or the Kennet & Avon are 100% club waters.
