    Re: Weird Hardy Conquest 'Pin

Odd, a veritable Heinz 57. All I can say for sure is that I won't be making a bid. It looks counterfeit to me.

    Re: Rod endorsements

I haven't so suspect your post is ironic. The thought of a rod endorsed by a grinning idiot like him would put me of fishing.

Re: How did you get on?

It makes depressing reading from both a fishing and cultural perspective. I too don't understand this country and many of its inhabitants. The name GB is a gross misrepresentation.

Thanks to all for your views. Sam would that discipline be in HFT?

Well done Pete and what a fish. AD may open next month so I'd try Willy Worms on the web if you don't have any local Tackle shops.

I'm just curious John as some new rods still available and bearing the name Rod Hutchinson as an example, look to be made to a low price and sold cheap. Other older Daiwa rods bearing the name Tommy...

    Rod endorsements

I was reading an interesting article in the AT about Rod Hutchinson and his life. He was a carp angler first and foremost but manufactured bait, rods and flavourings. He looked a real character...

Likewise except with total bewilderment. It's just so cumbersome imo. Definitely not for me ever.

    Re: Centrepin

I cannot disagree with the high opinion of the Okuma Sheffield reels. I have a few pins costing far more but the Okuma was the first one I bought and remains an excellent example of a good pin.

Apart from an initial acknowledgement from them and similar from PayPal, I have heard nothing Ian. I am dubious but will give them more time . I’m not optimistic . No tracking no , nothing.

The line clip is poor for a reel of this quality. Have yet to catch a fish with it so the jury is out.
