    Thankfully I bought many bulk spools (1000m) in various sizes quite a few years ago so haven't checked availability for ages. Like Skip I don't find the need to change it too often either.

    The Abu55 was the dogs then Shimano entered the market, first with the Triton 3500, 4500 and the 6500 Baitrunners, fresh from the American market – the rest is history......................

    Yes Skip, my first double (10.4) at Marlow weir was taken on minnow live bait in 1972. I won't take too much credit for it though as, at the time, I did not realise barbel could be taken this way....
