What kind of rod rest did you use and how was it pinned to the deck?

Your bream are nothing like ours and we would use a maximum of size 12 usually.

    Re: Rod Quivers

The NGT reel cases are perfect and cheap. They are also squishy if not packed so fit easily into a rod bag or sling. I'll find a link Kev.

Here you go 3 for less than a tenner. They can be zipped...

Re: Reel drag not working properly

To find anyone on the forum who may be familiar with the problem you must quote the make, size and model name of the reel and if it's a front or rear drag if the name doesn't make this obvious.

    Re: Preventing sun/heat stroke

You can buy parasols, clothes and hats that repel uv rays. Loose fitting clothes, hats which allow airflow, flip flops/ sandals( no socks) shorts all help keep you cool. A battery fan can also help...

Another make I see a lot of ( beachcaster rods and reels) is DAM. I can't say I have ever seen any coarse rods for sale in the Uk although they are made.
