Re: How did you get on?

A change from pellet to caster for silvers brought a change of luck. Fishing a lighter more cultured way, a total contrast to feeder and pellet.
I had a good number of roach and skimmers plus a...

Had I needed anything to hold meat on the hook, I will keep your offer in mind. Experience will show you that they are not needed. Keep practising, it will come to you.

Re: How did you get on?

Blowing hard at times, I still had to get my tackle after making my mind up earlier.
It was expected so not too much of a disappointment even though the fishing was tripe. I did catch a few fish a...

Re: How did you get on?

KW fished poorly yesterday, at least it did for me. Couldn't estimate how the pond was fishing because I was the only one fishing.
Fished bomb and pellet again, my usual it appears these days. Bomb...

    Excellent.
Just the type of angling I prefer or I should say used to, quality catch, good angling.

Re: Waters you won't be going back to

I have a season ticket for a water I have refused to fish, had the ticket for three years. Over the time I've been a ticket holder the track to the venue has gone down hill. So much that it is now...

Might just as well call it a day on these particular ways of keeping meat on the hook, I have no wish to argue about the need for help with hooking bait.

Re: Best meat stops I’ve ever used...

No you are totally wrong, old style tackle has it's place, the bin.
Neither am I the kind to fall for gimmicky bits of plastic, especially ones that could hinder hooking.
    I not against anyone who...

Re: Best meat stops I’ve ever used...

If angling companies thought they could rob us of a few more quid they would produce a grass cutter in a flash.
But anglers do ignore simple and go for anything more technical, even if it is just a...

Re: Who's been a naughty boy then

    Hypothetically.
What if the fined refused to pay the fine, he'd go to prison, right.
On top of that what if there were thousands refusing to pay the fine. With the amount it costs to look after...

I don't think I will try them, using a big 10s hook a simple piece of grass works just fine.

Re: Who's been a naughty boy then

    I agree.
I would for example class stealing a bottle of milk from a door step a far worse crime than fishing without a licence. Stealing a news paper from a letter box is worse. I'm sure these...
