Re: The cost of your fishing.

When, like me you have fished almost your entire life the cost is not the driving factor that decides whether I fish or not. I chose to go when I want to and what it costs is what it costs. If I...

    Re: Favourite bird?

I have an affinity for Jays. I don't see them often nowadays, once upon a time they were common. Did see on today while fishing on the Frome. My second choice would be a Skylark also rare. Pete

    Re: Whip fishing advice please.

As Keith has said, the best chance of landing a big fish on a 3m whip is to have extra sections to add. In your case this is not an option, so it is a case of hang on and hope. However there are...

Re: Fishing method you are unlikely to pursue

Sitting all night in a bivvy, behind a raft of rods, with only your Teddy Bear for company, waiting for the bell to ring. I ain't knocking it but it's not my idea of good fun. Pete

    Re: Any Daiwa 120M experts?

I agree with Mark. I made several way back, for match fishing on the Trent. They weren't useless but no advantage over a conventional stick float. Not worth the trouble to make or the expense to buy....

When I use to tie hooks in bulk they always came in boxes of 100. I would put them individually into paper packets. These came in packs of 1,000. I would then heat seal qty 10 tied hooks into a heavy...
