Antique rods

I have just been given 6 split cane rods for various uses. I have some sea rods, river rods and possibly a couple of fly rods too. How do I go about getting them valued properly for insurance. Any help would be gratefully received.

There is no easy way apart from going to a tackle shop and asking their opinion.

You could try looking on eBay and searching for the makers names and finding a match, try the completed items as well.

Failing that I collect vintage tackle and might have a view if you let me know the details.
