I have a really interesting book on fishing tackle and techniques and it covers all sorts of stuff but one interesting sections details how to catch lobs using a car battery with two probes wich if inserted into the ground when damp will cause the worms to come to the surface has anyone else ever heard of this as its new to me.

might be just as good to bang the battery on the ground a few times, supposedly heavy stamping, or beating a stick on the ground brings worms to the surface. This again is supposedly why the blackbird bangs his beak on the ground when worm hunting.

What is the difference between a battery and a woman?

A battery has a positive side.

Electric shocks for lobs??

Worm Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest??......:wh

(Surely I win a prize for that one?)

Never really liked the soapy water for worms. A bit hit and miss I reckon, with more misses than hits.

I prefer a spade myself.
