On my latest tench fishing sesion i arrived at dawn to a misty but warm dawn.
I plummed the depth and baited up 2 good looking swims and then sat back to wait for the bubbles to start.
I then woke to find it was 11am,i was a little sunburnt and still had the plum weight on the end of my line.
Best kip ive had in ages

anyone else done the same?

fell asleep a lot after a long overnight drive to a distant water, I always try to get the baits out first and take my time positioning them, I then set up the bivvy, climb inside, fall on the bedchair and die

the buzzers wake me up whenever (if I`m lucky)

Never woken up to a run but in Winter there were a few days where i fell asleep due to the cold.I got woken up by the Rabid geese on the lake chasing each other resulting in loads of angry coots scaring them off.Its worse than being woken up at half 5 in the morning by an old alarm clock!

Waiting for midnight at the start of one season I nodded off to be woken by a chap on the other bank shouting for help to land a Tench. It was 12.20 and I had completely missed the "off" after three months of anticipation. Doh !
