Dordogne and Lot rivers in France

I am off to the Dordogne region of France this weekend and have determined that I can fish the rivers there for a fee of ?30. Has anyone fished there? What should I expect to catch? Any suggestions on tackle? I have no idea what sort of river system I will be dealing with. Also does anyone know any lakes in the immediate vicinity of Mollier? Cheers

The R. Lot has a good head of barbel, chub naze. There was a guy who did post on this site 12 months ago who lived in France and knew the region quite well. His name escapes me for the moment. I'd suggest ledgering using bread, meat, sweetcorn.
