Welcome Yorkie don't let the regulars get there hooks in you, so to speak. They mean no harm really and when you meet them a more freindly and helpful group you could'nt wish to meet.

Yorkie, was registered to this site last year but only used it to answer quick queries. For some totally unfathomable reason I stopped visiting.....have now come to my senses and last few nights haven't stopped reading. As you can see from the replies you've already had, there is a whole raft of seriously useful info to be gleaned but also the majority of the members seem to be totally and utterly barmy! Won't be leaving site again I can tell you!

Lots of experienced anglers on here also to tap on such as The Monk (above) who's spent years in the specialist angling world. We're not nasty or bad tempered either - are we Merv, Ed, Ron, Jason, et al?

And failing all else you might even tap into Ron Clay's enormous knowledge. Most of useless, mind you, since it only applies if you're living in South Africa.

Oh no, I'll wake the old man out of his coffin.

It's alright Jeff, he doesn't tend to come out in the daytime and post, only the evenings mostly.

oooOOOooo, does that make him of a vampire ilk then?

Thanks for the welcome fellas, the general theme is that most of you are absolutely barmy!!! I should fit in nicely then.

In reply to Merv, yes, I do come from Gods own Country - The peoples republic of Yorkshire.

Keep tapping them keys!!!

Tell me Yorkie, do you have a preference for Shropshire, Dorsets, Southdowns, Oxfords, Rambouillets, or just plain simple black faced sheep?

Feel free to discuss.

thanks for your vote of confindence Jeff, you`d best add "at the tax payer expense" to that though mate"!!

sometimes I think I`m the only sane one on this site!

our main man of eloquence though has got to be me ole mate Merv, who has undoubtedly spent many years as a young man studying the finer aspects of the English language!
