I am looking for a suitable (cheap) reel to use with this rod. Will mainly be used for stillwater legering and eventually some river fishing. Any suggestions?

I use a old shimano 3000 perfect fit and size for his new Avon Quiver should fit yours nicely. Or try there new 2500 size

Thanks for that, I was looking at some similar Shimano reels today. Haven't seen any Okuma reels in tackle shops nearby (Northwich).

okuma epix er30 fits mine and is a great reel for the money,take the butt section with you to your local shop to be sure.

Thanks for all your feedback. For the time being I've bought a (leeda) kudos feeder reel from VRAC for ?20. Was a bit dubious but tried it out on the rod last sunday and worked a treat.
