Can anyone recommend a good splicing needle which i can buy instead of recieving with a pack.Both my ESP ones have snappped and are feeble.The fox ones look OK but the shanks look the same as the ESP ones.

Also,if the needles are all the same then can anyone give me and techniques.I just pull really hard.....but the needle snaps.

I use the fox ones, never snaped them.

Just be careful. To be stronger they would have to be thicker, and this would make them more difficult to use.

Michael, you could try a sailmakers diamond needle they come in all sizes and taper to the middle then taper to the eye. once you have pushed pass the widest part the rest follows through, yatch chandlers sell them.

I have found the ultimate splicing needle/baiting needle.The stainless Nash one is the best iv used.Its shank is super strong and the hook is also supper strong.Great for 10mm baits or anything smaller.2 quids a bargain for such a great tool.
