Can anyone tell me the best way to connect to the mainline? The leader has a knot fused on the back of it already.Should I use loop to loop? Old to fishing ,but new to carping I have never used a leader before,so any help would be great.Thanks

sounds best.

The fused knots are normally very smooth, so a figure of 8 loop knot in your mainline and then join them loop to loop would be my advice.

How do you do a figure of 8 loop?I may need this for a leadcore leader.Im buying them now.Too hard to make.

Come on michael!... persevere with the leadcore and you will succeed!, your'e a young lad, dont give up!... youv'e got years to master EVERYTHING angling has to offer... keep practicing with things like knots etc, and you will be a true angler!... like Ron, Graham, Jeff, Jason, les, etc!..

Thanks Rik but wouldnt the loop in your mainline seriously reduce breaking strain?
