Does anyone find 3l/b TC rods are to soft for long distance casting with method feeders?

I think it depends on the action.
Nash bought out some Method rods and these were through action, whereas most 3lb TC rods are very tippy.
It's more of a slower action on the cast as opposed to a punch with a normal lead.

I've got some 11' 1.75lb thru action rods that will put a 4 to 6oz loaded method ball close to 100yds.
It all depends on the rod and the action that you use to cast it.

Dont know about the experienced carp lads on here but i cant cast heavy method balls on 3lb rods.Just right for big PVA bags though but when using a method feeder its more of a lob with 3lb.
