I have managed to get a ticket for the Sponsored fish in on Sandhurst lake. I would appreciate any advice on this water as to species i am likely to encounter and what tacktics work well. Any advice welcome.

If anybody wishes to sponsor me that would be appreciated also.

Thanks

what are you targetting Bryan?

There's big carp and big bream in there.

The carp are very slow and are coming out to tight baiting with stringers or bags.
The bream tend to come to beds of pellet.

Loads of gravel and no weed this year.

a couple of the regulars reckon that it goes quiet and suddenly turns on this time of year - whadda you reckon rik?

mind you, lots of lakes fishing improves september onwards doesnt it....

the fishing at Sandhurst has been slow since June.
They didn't complete their spawning and it's been off the boil ever since.
It may just be a duff year, or it may be a stunning winter on there, who can tell.

For some reason, it always produces a few on the Stoney weekend. Mind you, most lakes do - hopefully its because someone "up there" is looking down on everyone and appreciates what they are doing for others.
