fly fishing advice

,HI,all,
im after some advice ,im going to try my hand at fly fishing,


im after a rod and reel that will cope with a AFTM 7"8, i do not have a big budget ,,and it seems i need a load of bits to go with it,,

now i do have a daughter who fly fished for salmon,,and who made the derby paper with a 23lb salmon, thats too good for dad ,but she has not fished for a long while now ,and she does not any bits left ,so all suggestions please,

Do you mean you already have a line rated at AFTM 7 or 8? This is a line more suitable for reservoirs rather than rivers.

Do you intend to fish for trout mainly in rivers? If so, are they small streams or medium sized rivers ? Alternatively will you be fishing stillwaters for rainbows ?

You don't need much equipment to go fly fishing.

I suggest you transfer your post to the fly fishing section where you may get more replies.

Keith2, Just where is the fly fishing section?? ,i did look for it on here ,i will be fishing still waters,for rainbows
reason i said atfm 8 is because my daughter would give me that rod
