In Tony Robinson's interesting programme on the worst jobs in medieval Britain, It shows in graphic detail the decapitation on a live eel. Both the head and rest of the body were shown still moving!
Maybe the attitude towards the killing of animals has changed on the media. Or maybe this got through the programme planners.
And with the fact that eels are getting so rare, was this a good thing to portray?
