It has been announced today in the AT that the former Monk Lakes fishing complex is to be resurected and is expected to open in October, this complex of lakes and river stretches will be a match for Cudmore, it is reported that ?1.5 million of fish have been stocked, and more lakes have been planned, on the already vast complex , as to what it is going to cost the angler it has not been disclosed but with all the facilities that are planned it has to be a turn for the better, and only 17 miles from my home what more could I hope for.

My club also has got fishing rights on a large complex. And is reported to be one of the countrys most disabled friendly fisheries.
It seems like some have been taking notice of Oct 1st.

Mel,
It's good news for you and others in that area, but will it be enough?

Mel whatever floats you're boat. Such waters and you compare it with Cudmore could be in my living room and I still wouldn?t fish it. Wild water, wild fish for me mate!

if it's in the south it will probably cost a couple of hundred quid per day to fish for pastie F1 carp.
the south of england is a complete rip off, i'm still having trouble adjusting to what you get for your money up here.
earlier on i ordered a kebab for my lunch, it was a special one and cost a fiver, it's just arrived and some one has just handed me what appears to be a duvet filled with meat.
with a bit of luck i might just about finish it by thursday.

Baz, with the number of lakes available and river bank I think I will be happy for a while, but there again I do have my own venue.

I went and had a look at this new complex from the top of the hill overlooking the site it is massive to say the least, not seen anything to match it on my travels.
