just about to buy my first bivvy, i was going to get something cheap, under ?100 mark, but then decided to get something that would last for 2 or three seasons, so my feelings now are swaying towards a jrc sti 1man ?199, anyone got any other suggestion for bivvies under ?200...........

Well first of all shop around on the price,as you can get them cheaper than ?199 and post is free too from here http://www.englandangling.co.uk/default.asp?ad=ukcarp
Tim does them for ?179.99 the one man,or look at the single skin STI at ?159
I have the 2 man STI and its superb, used it all last winter and this summer too, nice bit of kit!!

I have just been using the STI 2 man at the stoney charity evnt excellent bit of kit. One point though this is not very light and if you have not got a barrow then you will find it heavy.

I also have a JRC Roamer dome for short sessions as fast to put up as the STI but only half the wieght and you can adjust the base for tight swims. Total cost as everything sold individually is around ?120
