Hi guys,

I havnt been fishing for nearly a year and i fear ill be a little rusty when it comes to barbeling so im after some advice please. Im staying in a cottage in the Statford Caverans park/area from saturday 10th of July, but will be trying other bits of the river or locations.

Any advice on area, bait, other venues, anything really would be much appericated.

Also any good stillwater venues in the area, will proberly go float bashing at some point?

Cheers
Phil

Phil, Best bet is Seven Meadows, all usual baits techniques etc work fine.

Ask at Stuarts tackle on Evesham road, always helpful, also where you need to get your permit from.
I think Seven Meadows is season ticket holders only, about £28 per year.

Another good area is the weir upstream of the Evesham road, good tench and chub found there aswell.

Seven Meadows is now day ticket and you can get them on the bank (or so the notice at the entrance said last November). Start at the top and work your way down, but the run off from the weir generally produces a fish or two.
