Hi lads I,ve just published a site on the web for the carp anglers in the club i belong to and i think its pretty good for a first effort,but try as i might i cannot get the pics to enlarge eg a click to enlarge action.Could someone please tell me how to do it ? by the way the site is at http://www.padcaccarp.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

You have to make the picture a link to the same picture only saved in a larger size with a diffrent file name.

Alternativley use one of the Album creating packages this will do most of the work for you.

as Bryan mentioned. the thumbnail to bigger picture routine requires you to use two seperate pictures. Basically you use whatever image software you currently use to create a copy of the original image, but smaller. Then place this on the first page. You then create a link from the small picture to the larger one. When people then click on the first image, the web browser they are using will open the picture it was linked to. There are all sorts of other ways of messing around with these things. A good place to look anything up would be www.w3schools.com

Frontpage Bryan its not to hard to follow but despite asking the paperclip 6twenty differentways how to do it its not helping me.

as previously mentioned, you have to make the thumbnail a clickable link.
'on left click' a href etc etc
and point it to a larger version of the image

Click on the image you want as the link.
right click, this will bring up a window
click Picture Properties
click General Tab at top

Under Default Hyperlink
Location browse to were the large image is
Target frame select New Window
