the ouse at olney

i`ve just been reading in the angling times about the ouse at olney.its not too far away from my home and as its fishable on a day ticket,plus i`ve never caught a barbel from a river,i`m really keen to give it a try.has anyone here fished this area and could tell me of their experiences,methods used etc....
