Pectoral Fins what purpose do they serve?
Sounds a silly question really doesn?t it? They?re there as stabilisers, rudders, brakes, precision propulsion unites to edge a fish up to a item of food, or away from it. I think most of us have seen a pike use them to turn itself on its axis just before it flees.
Therefore I think we?d say there are pretty crucial to a fish?s well-being, but what if it didn?t have any?
Would it survive?
Would it thrive?
Would it be able to compete with its fellow shoal members?
Would the EA give it a Green Card Mel? :0)
