I loved the shot of the Goosey Ganders.

And that is certainly not the biggest pike I have ever caught.

One day when I am retired I'll buy a long boat and moor it at Ten Mile Bank.

It is a most atmospheric stretch of water.

Well done Chris,I think we all get to the point of jacking it in and then one good session and that`s all out the window.

Sounds silly but I go through phases like Chris once in a while too. I think it gets like that when you're struggling and often just takes something a little different to add the spice again.

For me this last Summer it was eel fishing. Due to work commitments my usual Summer carp and tench fishing was extremely limited and it was some serious eel fishing that rescued my desire. I could turn up late in the evening, fish all night and be away early without missing 'feeding' periods as I would have done with the tench and carp and above all, it was the excitment created by fishing some new venues and achieving new personal bests that have spurred me on to wait until time is not so limited. It would have been easy to lock the rods away for the Summer and let that negativity leak into the Winter.
