I fish the river teme at Bransford Nr Worcester, and only seem to catch Barbel. Are there any other fish in the Teme as I like to do a bit of trotting for roach etc. There does not seem to be any other fish in the river. Is it the same on other streches or am I just unlucky. ??

Trevor, the Teme is a Mr Crabtree river but unfortunately he would have had to specialise in chub and barbel. I am struggling to think when I caught a roach or dace on the lower part of the river.

Where you are fishing at Bransford is and has been for 30 years to my knowledge an out and out barbel and chub water. When I lived in Redditch I used to fish the occasional match there and it was always a struggle, A case of minnows or monsters but nearly always minnows.

If you go to the higher reaches round Ludlow there are roach and dace there and its a lovely stretch for float fishing and its day ticket too, well worth a visit.

Thanks for your advice Graham. Sorry I have taken so long in replying but have been out of the system for some time. You say that Ludlow is good for roach etc. Where would I get the day ticket from ??
