Fishing in France

Hi guys, I wondered if anyone could help. The family and I are going to france in the summer (told them so we could go to Disney but real reason is to fish) and I am not sure what if any licences I will need and any other advise you can give me on fishing near Chateau Thierry

You need a Carte de Peche (rod licence), which you can get from most tackle shops in France. You can get one for two week but I cannot remember how much I think about ?15. This will allow you to fish most rivers and lake with public access.
