Hi I am new here, I have just retired from the British army at the rank of full Colonel now I am living in the far east of Russia with my wife, I miss the fishing in England, but the fishing here is great.

Welcome aboard Colonel Paul.
Perhaps you might like to tell us about the fishing you are doing, and the methods you employ. Also the species available to you. :D

Hi Paul. I somehow never imagined there was a fishing scene in Russia (goodness knows why:rolleyes:). I for one would be very interested to know more about it. Is it mainly game or is there any coarse fishing?
Congrats on your retirement. Can't wait for mine so I can get out more often:)

Welcome Colonel. Good to have yet another Paul of breeding and action. Look forward to hearing your tales from steppes. Which part of eastern Russia..Kamchatka, Vladivostok, Clacton?

Bet you managed to get a riverside mansion on a Colonels pension..sir.

Could i put a bivvy up in your garden? i may invite a fellow FMer by the name of Deano's,,,,but he insists you introduce him to the local female tractor drivers of the larger variety.

Seriously tho....what are you catching over there?
