Help re Leeds centerpin

Help. My Leeds Classic 5.5 centerpin is making a funny noise and I cant get the thing apart to see the problem. Ive tried the big screw thing on the back but nothing is happening. Anyone ever taken one apart ? Help.

If it's the same as mine you do need to remove the big domed screw on the back to take it apart.

If you are finding that the whole thing is just turning try applying a little pull on the spool (away from the backplate) as you undo the big screw.

JP i found pressing the spool towards the backplate aideded the removal/refitting of the screw

I pulled, I pushed and it still wont come undone. Think the thread has gone. Have given to an engineer for him to break. Cheers Lads
