Any good books in this (where anglers talk about memorable trips, catches etc) catergory? NOT an instructional book. Preferably about carp fishing.

Powerlines; Dexter Petleys accounts of the Walthamstow reservoirs during the 80s, its like a Mr Craptree nightmare… certainly not a how to, but a great account...

But my favorite carp fishing book is Chris Yates "Secret Carp" it ticks all the boxes, a must read if you havent already picked it up.

Hard to get hold of now, but one of the best fishing trip books ever is Somewhere Down the Crazy River by Paul Boote and Jeremy Wade.

It's an account of their adventures chasing mahseer in India and tiger fish in the Congo.

Inspiring stuff and thoroughly recommended.

Also as has been suggested above, Chris Yates' How To Fish is a cracking read.

Not carp related but two books by John Searle are excellent reads:

John Searl - The Art Of Angling

Chalk Stream Roach - The Ultimate Challenge
Seven chapters by various anglers of repute, including Mark Wintle.

A Brush With The Avon
Stunning accounts of a life fishing the Hampshire Avon.

The companion to the series book for A Passion For Angling is a good read.
