How to great to read such a heartwarming story and see a tackle shop survive all the traumas (not least the latest foot-and-mouth epidemic) through all those years.

May they not only survive, but thrive, for at least another 100 years I say!

I was talking to Martin Bale in the new shop today. He was telling me that before the war to get a supply of maggots his father would take a trip down to the local tannery and scrape them from the skins that were hung up to dry. Far cry from today.
