If you all felt a little easier now that hunting with hounds is to be banned, perhaps thinking the antis and the anarchists would take up knitting with organic wool and leave us to fish in peace: maybe we should consider what next? My opinion is that hunting with guns will be next, followed by game fishing,(including sea fishing) and then followed by coarse angling. With so many branches of our sport under threat is it not time that we had an "organised" body that would represent all anglers and be "pro-active" as IMHO no such body exists, and please dont say the NFA does this because frankly their efforts are like peeing on a volcano to put out an eruption. Bob James is out of a job now perhaps he'd consider taking the task on? I'd be interested if anyone knows of any group that would consider an amalgamation of angling bodies as a way forward. Or are our angling bodies too busy within their own domains and afraid of power sharing for the future of angling?
