Can anybody suggest a day-ticket carp water in Lancashire (other than Wyreside) that might provide me my first 20.

there is another 'Wyreside' that contains carp up to 40lb.Its website is www.Wyresidefisheries.co.uk.

There's the Premier run Copthorne Fishery in Pilling nr Garstang off the A6, but you have to buy their own produced groundbait etc. However, it seems to get good reports in the Angling Times' 'Where to fish' section.

I have heard that Lodge 1 at Heapey Lodges, nr Chorley has big carp in it. It's run by Wigan DAA and something like ?2 a rod.

I've just checked, and Premier fisheries has a website, www.premierfisheries.co.uk.

It's ?2.50 for Heapey, boilies taking most carp, averaging 8lb, but some in the twenties.

greenhalgh lodge near kirkham has a few 20s but a lot of smaller carp ?5 a day my best here is 15LB 4 OZ
