Can anyone recommend a friendly fishing club in the Carshalton/Sutton area of Surrey. I am a returner to the sport after many years and have been fishing since December, now looking to join a club where I can build my knowledge up and get some friendly competition at the same time.

Nigel - your best bet would be to go down the local tackle shop and ask them.

Not only do you have one of the best tackle shops available locally (KC Angling) where both Steves will help you in any way that they can, but you also have:
Banstead AC
Leatherhead AC
Epsom & Ewell AC . . . to mention just a few.

If you stop in at KC Angling, tell Steve that Peter Jacobs said hello, okay?

Many thanks, KC Angling is the tackle shop I use for bait and bits and pieces indeed when I started fishing again before Xmas that where I bought my new gear. I am just getting to know the guys there but will gladly pass your hello's to Steve and the heads up on the fishing clubs really is appreciated.
