It is my dad 60 th! He is done fly fishing for years . I want to buy him some good socks for one he goes out fishing. Can you please advise me on which are the best ones to buy?
i just use my ordinary everyday ones unless i'm off out soind something like wading, then it's a thick pair of walking socks. such as the ones you get from yeomans.
I payed 18 quid a pair if i remember correctly, the quality has to be seen, 5 or 6 years of washing and not a bobble in sight, then theres the thermal quality so maybe not that expensive realy.
I have this very day invested in a pair of 'Sealskinz' socks for the winter piking campaign. I have been reccomended these socks by all and sundry over several seasons as being the royalty of outdoor footwear, and believe me, at £28 for a single pair, they bloody well better be!
