Washout of Britain's rivers need to be stopped, I am not trying to get
at the EA as I think they do a great job on rivers today however the
government is letting us down by denying all of the important finance to
the right areas.
Instead of spending money on flood defences, which still channels flood
water and increases river washouts, they should finance in integrated
catchment management and flood mitigation.
We must look at our rivers and sum up all of the factors that cause
these floods and create ways of reducing their contributions to floods
and help rescue our rivers from their unpredictable damage.
So I am calling on ALL of our anglers to concern themselves in these
sorts of matters and call upon the government to fund these ideas, and
we need to do this now as tomorrow will be too late for every one.
