if they are saying it's 63,000 worth, then the reality is that it's nearer 50 of good saleable stock.
The want the opening bid at nearly 30,000!!!!
HA HA

You could buy it trade for 15 to 18, so for all that trouble and bulk it'd have to be 10 to make it worthwhile.

I thought it was the German Brandy at first, but meths can be just as good once you get the colour out.

I'm looking at a shop at the moment (Mr Marsden might put the article up soon - hint, hint!) The owner suggested he did have ?350,000 worth of stock @ trade - Hmmmm! But since he has sold a lot of it He reckons ?200,000 - Hmmmmmmmmm!

This doesn't look a bad lot, BUT
It isn't your choice of stuff to sell.
How long as some of it been sitting there?
How many oddments are there, eg: 10 packets of hooks spread across different sizes, styles that can only be thrown in a bin at 10p per packet to clear?
How much is last season's, or the season's before, or the one before that?
Why is the shop selling up? Bad situation, poor management, bad choice of products (you're buying them.)

Rik's right, if it came on a real auction, the opening bids would perhaps be around ?10,000 and might reach ?20,000. It's difficult to say without a site visit or seeing it.
