Alan was secretary of the Natonal Carp Club in the 60s, our first national carp club, as organised under NASG which pre-dated the BCSG. Alan went on to chair the National Association of Specimen groups (1965) and was still active by 1976. He made a brief appearance in the letters page of Carp World in the 1990s, does anyone know Alans present whereabouts?
