I wonder if some of these can be used for Shark Fishing groundbait (or, for that matter, for Bass, Dogfish Conger)

They may be good for starting a well-spread "cone" of groundbait before you get the usual rubby-dubby going (and may disperse better than the old frozen chum "log" as well as being more convenient if you say away for a few days)

i used to know a guy who used to use 6" fishmeal sausages that had been soaked in salmon oil when uptiding...saw him catch a few as well. whether it was any better than worm/squid on the hook is difficult to say....

Halibut pellets just beyond the surf line seem to work for flatties but the best attractor for sea fish is menhaden chum.

Thanks for that. I know Menhaden Oil and "Milk" is used quite a lot in the USA for sea fish.

to get a good spread in the dubby trail, it may be worth bothering to source or create differing sized pellets and use a mix.
