where are u fishing,the colour of the curse varies from place to place..over here in ireland we fish a size 12( i know its big )light yellow body fine gold wire rib peacock herl thorax and a bad badger dirty hackle 1.5 turns wet casting in the trouts path and waiting for the line to go..english style..
for dry fly the same fly on a 16 short shank tied adult and spent..two of each on a 6' cast 2-3lb flurocarbon..degreasing evry 3rd cast..again casting in front of the fish or if that does not work on the blind,,u will be amazed how many fish are about u cannot see..sometimes the fish will take half a dozen and cruise 20-30' under a rake of fly without touching one of them before feeding again......
