Killer shrimp - Grafham's first, where next?

Environment Agency - Invasive shrimp found at Grafham Water

This lethal little crustacean has already devastated waters in Europe, gobbling up all the other invertebrates. The big problem is that most reservoirs have spillways and outflow into local waters. Plus the fact that these nasty little things can be carried around by birds... and on our nets.

Let's just hope the trout love eating them...

And, incidentally, nobody would know they were there if it wasn't for the vigilance of anglers. When next someone ear'oles you about angling being cruel, let them know that we actually care about the environment, rather than just talking about caring

Oh Grafham!!!........i thought it said killer shrimps, Graham is first..........thought their was a new strain of crabs about. phew!! :wh

Lets hope they eat young crayfish,i feel that if they are doing well in Grafham,their already doing well elsewhere already.:(
