A timely reminder, thanks. I just bought one on-line.

What I didn't realise is that if you fish that minute between 11:59:00 and midnight on the 31st March you are effectively committing an offence as you don't have a licence.

What's p*****g me off is that at the end of May I'll be 65 but if as I want to go fishing before then I've got to buy a licence at the full price.
Life is so unfair.

I'd check on that Frank, if I were you. I think you might get away with a discount.

You are allowed to claim for a discounted licence as long as the one you have carries you to th date when you become 65.

Just out of interest: How much is saved by claiming a discount?

Gone are the days of a concession based on income then.
I don't quite qualify for a Blue Badge.
No longer is Incapacity Benefit enough for a concession. I would have saved 50% of the cost of the Licence.
Perhaps I could make it up by eating or selling my Salmon and Trout catch while still permitted instead of practising catch and release.
Sad Shame

This is something that a mate pointed out last night.
How will the blue badge scheme affect the clubs that run disabled and over 60's matches?
Will this mean a lot of them giveing up fishing?
