Look up Chatsworth Angling Fair on Google.

There are lots of stalls covering all types of fishing: game, coarse and sea.

You can pick up bargains and watch the experts in action. It's an outdoor show in the grounds of Chatsworth House right next to the River Derwent.

What's with this "Roll up and meet Ed" thing Ron ????

(I don't charge much for autographs --and not a lot for a photo taken with me)

Ah but you are now quite a celeb Ed.

We will have a problem with the paparazzi on Sunday, take dark glasses.

Went out this morning Baz and clonked out over 20 trout up to 3 1/2 lbs. Got my limit of keepable trout in 4 casts.

Not bad for a stupid old fart is it?

Managed to get Saturday of work to go. Plenty to see and somethings to do even if you don't buy.
Hopefully Ron will be able to get his kamasan hooks from there.
Always try and go every year.

Last year wasn't too good for bargains, but it's still a good day out.

There are loads of demo's and you can certainly get a fly casting lesson. I tried it myself for the first time ever last year and I was surprised how much there was to take in and how difficult it was to get it to land softly. Not sure about Wallis casting though?

Ed,

We had a Norwegian junior club member who sported a very long blonde pony tail hair style who got most uppety when all of the 'Brit' contingent of the club turned up at a match wearing those baseball caps complete with imitation blonde pony tail hanging out the back :)

We only did it to make him feel at home - honest!
