Lets have your best 6 items of kit and why you think they are the bee?s knees.
This because we ain?t prostituting ourselves like the big names Bob referrers to (not by name I should add. Swiftly avoiding any writs) should be unbiased with a personal, and probably subjective, preference.
Who knows some of what is to come might just help to start a backlash juggernaut rolling and also help the newer angling members of this site to buy some good quality tackle. Rather than some of the crap these names are pushing.
Rods
Harrison Interceptors 12 ft. 1lb12oz
Best bream and tench rod ever made imo, not bad for perching either. Have used it for roach at long distance.
Harrison GTI Match Rod hollow tip 13 ft This is the original GTI they produced, had it over twelve years and it?s had some serious hammer and some very good fish. The action for me is so sweet I?ve never felt that I was going to lose a good fish hooked in a straight battle between rod, line and fish, ever!
Reels
Okuma Epix Pro 40s (baitrunner type) very good value for money, smooth playing action and clutch. Only criticism the silver chrome plate over the plastic has worn a bit.
A small Mitchell Quartz 310 for float fishing. Had it nearly 10 years and is still going strong, and like the float rod it?s had some hammer. Love the spool system they have.
Chair
JRC strong framed, well constructed seating cover and comfortable. Good extension on the legs with quick release spring loaded buttons not the push into the tube type. One criticism it?s just a bit on the heavy side at about 11lbs.
Floats
Peacock wagglers I make myself for 12p There?s no on the market to touch these I can tell you! :0)
Plastic Tackle box single tier.
B&Q ?2.99 Up your bum MR Wolf with you system??your ripping us off!
Knife
Genuine Small Swiss Army Penknife had it donkey?s years best buy I ever made. BTW the originals are made by Victronox and no other company for the Swiss Army.
And just for the two Ian?s the Forestry Commission (B&Q foldaway pruning saw) :0)
