I went on a club water today. I caught several Roach, Rudd, Bream and Hybrids. Every fish had a disease of some description. I can best describe it as:

On the Roach/ Rudd: A number of small black dots, mainly on their underside and around the mouth.

On the Bream/ Hybrids: A large number of black dots, most of them on their fins.

I also caught a couple of Perch, these looked fine.

Does anyone know what this condition is and what the prognosis is for the effected fish? Should I report it to the club's Fisheries Officer?

Ric - someone on here will certainly come up with something regarding this, they usually do. I would however definitely contact the club's fisheries officer - better reported than not if it deteriorates

I would say if you are ever in doubt, contact your club Fisheries Officer. THey will be more than pleased that someone is taking an iterest over their fish stocks.
