Hi,
I am 61 years old and have fished most of my life. Over the last 10 years i have concentrated on barbel from the tidal stretches of the Trent.
Best individual to date 11lbs 9 ozs.
I spend a lot of time studying the river and thinking about different approaches and this season it has really paid off. gone are the days when 5 or 6 barbel was a good day, in 4 sessions i have had 19 (105 lbs), 29 (155 lbs), 32 (188 lbs) and last weekend 31 (174lbs) and these are not from Collingham.
Anyway that's my introduction will be going this weekend but probably after saying the above I'll blank !!

Welcome Barbelbuster

Some of us find it rather vulgar to talk of weight and numbers of barbel we catch:D - we just empty the keepnet out at the end of the session with out counting:wh

Well done on your fishing - whatever you have done different has certainly changed your fishing
